Characteristics of cedar, green pepper, smoke and tobacco, balanced by a soft plumminess. Overall, the wines show good extraction, good berry structure, along with no bitterness and the tannins are surprisingly supple. Hard on the heels of the award winning 2004 the latest ’05 is showing equally well. More restrained in style but with appealing peppery, black fruit aromas with flecks of vanilla. On the palate it is silky with dusty, peppery, red fruit flavors and just a touch of vanilla. Solid Napa Cabernet at a reasonable price."
